Beer Battered French Fries FAQs

A:

Beer-battered thin-cut fries are a unique fry type that combines the ease of use of thin-cut potatoes with the tanginess and malty flavor of beer-based batter to create a crust that's not found with normal fries. The batter, made from real American Pale Ale, is applied before frying to create a richer brown coat and distinct tangy & yeasty flavor.

A:

Most of the alcohol in the beer evaporates during the frying process due to the high temperatures, leaving behind the flavor without the alcoholic content. However, trace amounts might remain in very small quantities. These amounts vary and depend on factors like cooking time, temperature, and the surface area of the food. It's important to keep these factors in mind when determining the kind of flavor profile you're aiming for.
