Crinkle Cut French Fry FAQs
What are seasoned crinkle fries?
Seasoned crinkle fries are crinkle-cut potatoes that have been coated & pre-seasoned with a blend of spices and herbs to create a flavorful twist on traditional fries. Ingredients like paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and sea salt create a gratifying aroma and taste without any artificial flavoring. Their signature ridged design locks in this seasoning mix and sauces to elevate your satisfaction in every bite.
When should I season crinkle fries?
Crinkle fries can be seasoned at different stages of cooking depending on the kind of taste you're aiming to acquire:
1. Before Cooking (Best for Dry Seasonings) – toss them in a light coat of oil and sprinkle your seasonings before baking or air frying. This helps the seasoning stick better and infuse into the fries as they crisp up.
2. After Cooking (Best for Wet Sauces & Finishing Touches) – If you're using something like garlic butter, truffle oil, or a cheese drizzle, it’s best to add it fresh out of the fryer or oven while the fries are hot. This way, they soak up all the flavor without getting soggy.
What are some great seasoning combinations for crinkle cut fries?
1. Umami Parmesan Truffle – Grated Parmesan and white truffle oil and a touch of mushroom powder for that deep umami richness.
2. Spicy Peanut & Honey Glaze – Toss in a mix of crushed peanuts, cayenne, and a light drizzle of honey.
3. Maple Chipotle BBQ – A blend of smoked chipotle powder, maple sugar, and black pepper.
4. Matcha Seaweed Furikake – Crushed seaweed, matcha powder, sesame seeds, and a touch of soy powder for an earthy, umami-packed experience.
5. Tandoori Masala Crunch – A mix of tandoori masala, dried mango powder (amchur), and a dash of coriander.
