“This shareable fry board is built around McCain Craft Beer Battered Fries for a crisp, reliable base. Smoked salmon, lemon‑herb ricotta, capers, and fresh herbs create a bright, customizable spread ideal for effortless spring entertaining.”

Ingredients

  • 1 bag McCain Beer Battered Fries
  • 4 oz smoked salmon
  • ½ cup sour cream or crème fraîche
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1–2 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp capers, drained
  • ¼ small red onion, very thinly sliced
  • Fresh cracked black pepper
  • Optional: microgreens or arugula for garnish

How to make it

  1. Cook the fries: Prepare McCain Craft Beer Battered Fries according to package instructions until golden and crispy.
  2. Make the lemon herb base: In a small bowl, mix sour cream, cream cheese, lemon juice, lemon zest, and dill until smooth. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Assemble the board: Transfer the hot fries to a serving board or platter. While still warm, spoon the lemon herb mixture over the fries in an even layer.
  4. Add toppings: Layer smoked salmon over the fries, then scatter capers and thinly sliced red onion on top.
  5. Finish and serve: Top with extra dill, black pepper, and optional greens. Serve immediately while warm and let everyone dig in.
